Yaound\u00e9 is my hometown \u2014 the place where I learned to dream, to doubt, to persevere, and to start again.
It\u2019s also where I chose to act \u2014 by creating TEDxYaound\u00e9<\/strong>, a space to celebrate ideas, voices, and strengths that inspire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For me, TEDxYaound\u00e9<\/a><\/strong> is more than an event.
It\u2019s a belief \u2014 that change begins with a story, that inspiration can spark transformation, and that when we share what\u2019s strong and human in us, we ignite something powerful in others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For too long, we\u2019ve been taught to focus on our weaknesses<\/strong> \u2014
to fix, to compare, to compensate.
But this way of thinking drains more energy than it builds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

True progress begins when we choose to see our strengths \u2014 in ourselves, in others, and in Africa.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

As a Gallup Global Certified CliftonStrengths Coach<\/a><\/strong>, I\u2019ve discovered another path:
one that begins with our natural talents<\/strong>, and invites us to build on what already works.
When we focus on our strengths \u2014 and see the strengths in others \u2014 everything shifts:
confidence<\/strong> grows, motivation<\/strong> returns, and collaboration<\/strong> flourishes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2728 Because there are two ways to move forward:
to love what is beautiful\u2026 or to make beautiful what we love.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When we focus on our strengths \u2014 and learn to see the strengths in others \u2014 everything changes.
Confidence<\/strong> grows. Motivation<\/strong> returns. Collaboration<\/strong> becomes natural.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the spirit I want to see rise through TEDxYaound\u00e9<\/strong> \u2014
a new kind of leadership that starts with self-awareness, celebrates collaboration over competition, and believes that every idea can make a difference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
