Yes! I needed this for myself rather than working under someone and complaining all the time. We need to change our mindsets, we need to stop thinking negatively. When you think negative, everything you do will be negative. Forget the mistake that happened and move on, because if you stay there and start asking yourself that why did that happen, then you won’t progress. While others are busily moving forward, you are wondering on what could have been the cause for your misfortune. I’m calling on everyone, especially my Cameroonian brothers and sisters, behave as if the state does not exist, think positive and I bet you, you’ll see the end result. » Marylène Owona est une entrepreneure Camerounaise qui a créé il y a 5 ans Kouaba, une agence de marketing et de communication qui se base sur les datas pour améliorer les performances de ses clients. In our community ( Santa Division, North West region of Cameroon), our indigenous parents didn’t send their girl children to school especially when they reached a certain age. This is because most of the girls usually misbehaved and marriage was the only option. I didn’t accept that to happen to me and I had to strive for the top so as to win the battle, because it was a tought one. I succeeded to complete my secondary education and moved to the high school and obtained a Masters I degree. Today I’m fighting for the girl’s child education through an association I created, Cameroon Indigenous Women Forum (CAIWOF). Every parent now in my community is doing everything possible for the girl children to be educated so as to become like me because they are girls and not brides » Bouba Aeisatu is a mbororo pastoralists originated from santa in the north west region.
